Big Hammers problems raises their heads

Many questions arose from yesterday’s defeat by Aston Villa – several of them already addressed here and there is little question big Hammers problems are raising their heads!

Michail Antonio’s lack of form, Nayef Aguerd’s error prone moments Lucas Paqueta’s less than average performance were just three of them

But another – in the shape of Said Benrahma – raises its head after he was ignored during the ninth game of season  for the first time this term in favour of Mohammad Kudus.

Big Hammers problems raise their heads

Benrahma’s involvement this season has left more questions that answers and with the manager claiming Kudus’ first team start is close, the Ghana international certainly appears to have overtaken the Algeria international in the pecking order.

Will he stay this winter or will he go given that he looks more and more of a fringe player having shown deeply frustrating form over the first part of the campaign?

There’s also a big query over Maxwell Cornet and one wonders whether he will become another expensive Moyes purchase who gets no chance to show what he has got.

He cost £17 million and brings back to mind Nikola Vlasic who was brought in for £25 million, gotg next to no chances and was  discarded.

These are worrying problems for a club which needs to make every penny count and my bet is that any offers for Benrahma this winter or next summer will see him on his way.

Moyes’ activities in the market before this summer were often poor and as shown with Cornet and Vlasic deeply wasteful. However, the arrival of technical director Tim Steidmen appears to have halted that sort of activity. What is hasn’t done is halt the discussion on how it happened in the first place.

One thing is for sure – we need to see absolutely no more of it! This club has seen to many outward transfers lose us money and we can’t allow that to keep happening.

David Sullivan is responsible for Transfers.

But don’t let the Truth get in the way of your Anti-Moyes agenda

    • Perhaps you can let me know via a link or from your sources. Im sorry that we aren’t allowed to say a word against the chosen one in your world whom I would remind you was appointed and supported by Sullivan who I must also oppose therefore if I takwe your comment seriously …which I don’t by the way
