Big Irons target learning English

|
Alexandre-LacazetteAlexandre Lacazette now looks certain to be leaving Olympique Lyonnais this summer with the Premier League his clearly favoured option.
ClaretandHugh reported earlier today that talks between the player’s agent and his advisers appeared to becoming more positive although sources at the club continue to insist nothing has yet been formally agreed.
However, we have learned over the last few hours that the highly rated French striker has been taking an intensive English language learning course over the past few weeks.
And his girlfriend, who was looking for a job in France, has now stopped her search with the move to England becoming more likely.
We also understand from sources in France that Lacazette’s replacement has been lined up in Wissam Ben Yeddera who is currently with Toulouse.
Lyon have a £27m price tag on him and we understand the Irons are ready to offer around £23m, although a senior source at the club told us: “He’s known to be on our list but to say anything more than that would be unhelpful at this point.”
Lacazette is fast and mobile and has been compared to Manchester United’s Anthony Martial. He is right-sided. Despite scoring 20 goals this season his asking price has dropped after the club attempted to sell at around £40 million last term.

    Well done the Saints!!!!

Now all we need is for Arsenal to beat Man City and we are in with a top 4 chance

  • Gobby says:

He is a good player Matt. Not sure about your PPL meaning Premier League Leaders.Think you have had a malfunction between the ears for a moment lol

He always looked a better option than Batshuayi if Im honest. Watched the video reels of this Argentine fella Bou, he definitely knows where the back of the net is, could be worth the rumoured £9m punt.

  • bubs says:

Bou is more likely at the prices and with other looking to change there forwards,
Depends weather Sakho wants to stay,
Redmond of Norwich might want a move if they go down and he is better then most wingers we are looking at,
Valencia might move on as well so we could be looking at 2 front men

Redmond would be a good pick up and your old favorite Wilson from Bournemouth.I watched the game and he is smart around the goal area.I suspect Eddie Howe would want to keep him.

Id personally like to see valencia go. Nothing against him ,hes a confidence player and very talented but he doesnt fit into our system.playing up top by himself seems to be too much for him and he isnt as effective as others we have in the wingers positions.i think his best position is as a second striker and bilic doesnt seem to favour having two up top..if we can get a good price for him and get bou in i think that would be a good bit of business.

Valencia is gone in the summer for me.I think the writing is on the wall.Personally I have nothing against the guy,I think he gets proper over the top roasted by some fans.We have had a good deal f#cking worse over the years than Enner.

  • slaven a laugh says:

I would keep Carroll because he gives you something different in the air attacking as well as defensively plus for his general team play, link up play etc. I would get rid of valencia and emeneke. I would like to think sakho might come good again at some point and is just having a really bad season so I would keep him for now. Lacasette I would make priority number one. He is a top striker, has the potential to get even better, and is the kind of marquee signing we need going into the Olympic stadium.

  • slaven a laugh says:

And if we’re going French and to balance things up a bit it would be nice if we could buy Antonine Griezmann too. Griezmann on the left payet in the middle lacasette on the right. What a team that would be.

  • bubs says:

Grief an would only join another top Euro team in the championship and Athletico are the hardest team to deal with price wise,
He will go for £4o million or more to Real,PSG, or a German club but not Real
Depends if Costa goes back he could be part of a deal with Chelski if they throw in another player like Quardrado or Costa
My only problem with players outside the Premier is they are like chalk and cheese it’s either Valencia or Sakho,Payet or Lanzini
Bony,Wilson,Ayew, all can do it and have proved it,
Bony probably has most to prove
