We are supposed to be loyal fans. The guy as always been 100% honest. Let’s stand by him. The worry I have is I think some of the players have given up or in their mind already moved on. I don’t honk they are playing for him. But I do think we should stand behind him.

  • whus best again says:

The poll should have a “stick with Slav” option. That’s my preferred choice.

With his full team or close to it we should be okay. With the need to play summer signings who aren’t good enough we are in deep trouble.

  • indelec says:

Typical west ham good season bad season, look at teams like city an arsenal first season in new stadium never great, biggest problem summer signings bought for amount of games we thought we would have rather than two or three quality players who would have gone in the team in front of current players. We play a hold an counter game but have no speed upfront in any forward besides sakho bring in Shane long payet needs runners in front of him an players to come to him an play off them to create space no wonder he isn’t trying

  • Ironworker says:

Let’s not panic , we have been here many times before we have the right players and now our strikers are coming back and so will our defense ( which without Kouyate & Creswell looks very light weight ) Noble has to be replaced with a Class midfielder ( since we have lost Kouyate to defence ) and one new striker to cover Injuries up front – The Big change I’m sorry to say lays with the manager , something has to change either him or his Ideas – Playing Zaza & Noble for so long , Tore + others has cost us dearly and has changed my belief in Bilic , only Action, not words will sort this out this mess and normally in the prem that requires a new Manager !! – Give him until after the Burney game (Get the Liverpool match over ASAP !! ) and then make a Decision . ( I will pray for you Bilic but …. )

  • There is no stick by Slaven option because in giving the TURN IT AROUND option that is implicit.

    • The Demon says:

There isn’t that option – the only mention of ‘turn it around’ is attached to ‘give him to the end of the month’ option.

  • The Demon says:

I must be one of the few with a floating vote. Much as I really like Slaven, just being honest sometimes isn’t the best policy.

He’s been hampered by some long term injuries – Carroll, Sakho, Cresswell and Ayew – but then again makes the weirdest buys. Tore? Chased him for months but he’s simply awful. Zaza? Don’t even go there. Feghouli? Really? In the Premier League?

Then there’s the tactical blindness. Noble spends his time covering the back four, leaving a huge gap to where he should be, prompting the forwards. He does that stupid backwards turn that burns time on the ball and invites pressure, then too often plays a short pass on his own 18 yard line that puts us under pressure. Surely covering the defence is Obiang’s job? Any why do our defenders keep trying to play in their own box? The lazy two yard pass that simply gets us into trouble. Where’s the midfield movement to receive the ball?

Maybe it’s because Sully is so involved in the dealings, but we never really seem to get our man – Mickey Bat**** would rather sit on the bench at Chelsea than play every week for us.

We’re rapidly reaching the stage where a decision might need to be made; if we’re still bottom five after Christmas, the unthinkable could loom – the halving of the rent. Then we reallly will need to do something. But let’s take the four games after Anfield and target ten points.

Everyone has there own favorite players and some their own pet hates ( especially of Noble ), but it’s the horrendous injuries so early in the season and the re-action to them by certain players that I see as the main reason for our position. Also at least 4 of the new players are simply not good enough to fill the gaps.
It seems now that even the training is becoming affected, with Bilic saying it’s not intensive enough, suggesting players apathy. This is a serious admission by Billic because most will see it as his job to get dedication from his players, and if he can’t then, has he lost the dressing room?
For me it was always the British players who re-act with grit and fight to such situations, and that is showing. Payet, Lansini have been criticised for their input this season, and Payet’s head certainly goes down with every adverse happening on the pitch.
The last 2 games though in my opinion have been down to Masuaku’s inability to defend, and Ogbonna’s habit of giving the ball away so cheaply when passing out of defence.
Billic has now put his head on the line, and dared them to chop it off. I vote give him to the end of the month, because with our wing backs coming back and 2 decent strikers now available, I don’t see us staying in this position by end of year. I also ( unlike others ) see Nobles return as crucial to give us the fight and grit in midfield to start getting points.

Reckon the Liverpool game will decide it anyway . Giving it One more month is only going to bury us deeper . I know it’s hard but , not looking at all good for West Ham and it’s West Ham that concern me not , the outcome for a manager who admits there is no intensity . We all know that injuries have had a massive impact on our season so far but , the way we are playing and applying ourselves is the responsibility of the Manager .
Plus , the LS has drained some passion out of West Ham , players and fans alike .

  • Daboiflip says:

A few questions need to be asked in the boardroom then a result should be made as to what we do the questions should be along the lines as slaven for what ever reasons its not working can you detail a new formation or style of play that will guarentee us results, the new signings that have been made by whom ever are cleary not cut up to it so we want a list of proven prem players who will fight ( the only ones who id say give time is fletcher and fernandez all the rest should be gone how ever we can this includeds ayew) also do we need to bring in new asisstants to help coach the team as none of the ones we have seem to be able to list the team we are a team who cant pass or even move. After they have been asked and answerd then we can move forward as to what we do with billic i like the bloke but sometimes liking some one dont get what you want. I think we should also consider life wothout payet his clearly had his head turnt so we either give lanzini the payet role or use a new system and use him a a impact sub ( a waste i no but maybe then players will step up ) either way something needs to be done starting with the players to the managers and ending with the board

  • Whurmagic says:

I think the only way the board can keep Slav as manager is if they are prepared to spend big during the January transfer window. If they are willing to spend £50m on a Striker and a World class defender then Slav will have enough to get us up the table. If the board aren’t prepared to spend big then you have to ask yourself if Bilic can really do anything with a squad of players that he has been unable to get the very best out of this season. Payet does not look happy, Noble has gone from knocking on the England door to Sunday league standard overnight and we know how frustrated Antonio (not to mention ourselves) is at being played as a Right Wing Back. With Mancini, Hiddink and Frank de Boer all currently available the board might be tempted to bring one of those in before another team does and in doing so, might save themselves £50m in transfer fees.

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

I personally think that so many of the team are not putting it in for him, I would say Cresswell, Lanzini most of the time, Reid in recent times, Obiang and Fernandes are the only players that can hold their heads up this season (I would include Fletcher but he hasn’t played often enough). The rest of the team have been poor, showed no pride, fight or determination to improve their personal form and that of the team, with so many of the squad not up to it, I feel there is no option but to change manager after the Liverpool game, give the new manager a run of winnable games to get some confidence back and to have a team that should at least try to impress their new manager. In my opinion it would also be kindest to Slav to let him go now rather than watch him suffer his team humiliating him on a weekly basis.
