Slaven Bilic has unveiled his ultimate ambition – to become West Ham’s Alex Ferguson.
The 47 year old has plenty of time ahead of him and with the Olympic Stadium era beckoning all things look possible for the Croat.
Bilic has been giving a series of interviews with Turkish media outlet Fanatik and chose to make his dream known in his latest.
He explained: “I would love to be the next Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger for West Ham but you never know in football.
Slaven’s doing a great job, why can’t this be the start of a ‘Fergie’ like era for WHU? Who knows, eventually maybe even BBC ‘Football Expert’ Mark Lawrenson will have to acknowledge that something special is happening at the club. Though no sign of that happening soon, as he’s just predicted (yet again!) on the BBC website, that West Ham will lose in this Saturday’s game away to Watford.
I’d love to be witness of a proper Bilic era at our club. It takes patient owners though, look at how long Ferguson got before starting to win things. Look at how long Arsenal haven’t won a title with Wenger still safe at Arsenal.
With potential new owners around the corner once we are in the OS it remains to be seen if Bilic has a long term future at West Ham.
For now things are certainly looking bright, claret and blue!
Lawrenson would rather die than admit the Hammers are placed on merit.
