Blades boss reports “tired bodies and minds”

|

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has admitted the Blades had many tired bodies and minds after the win over Arsenal but has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the Blades’ first-ever trip to the London Stadium.

That will come as some encouragement to the Irons who are looking for their first win in four games after taking one from the last three.

However, given their performance against Arsenal when they showed total professionalism in defending their lines for 95 minutes the Hammers must prepare for a very tough game indeed.

We will learn in around an hour the extent or otherwise of any injury problems among the Irons squad but in the meantime we can take small heart from the news surrounding the Blades squad.

However, managers tend to play mind games at this time of the week when much smoke and mirrors is involved so we simply look for a performance vastly different to those we have seen before and after the international break at home to Palace and away to Everton.

Meanwhile Wilder declared as reported by the Sheffield Star: “We came through a tough evening and covered a lot of distance.

We had to. We look at the intensity of the game and concentration levels from a mentality point of view because everyone had to do their jobs for 95 minutes.

We have tired bodies and minds but the players have had a couple of days of rest, we’re back in today and we’ll get set for the weekend.”
