Pellegrini makes it clear enough is enough

|
Manuel Pellegrini has had enough!
Defeats against Palace and Everton would produce an endless torrent of words from many managers but apart from a brief blast after the game that’s been it from the Chilean.
Instead – in keeping with his character – he has simply made it clear there has to be an end to the awful run of form over the last two games.
His calmness in the face of what see as extreme adversity is admirable and hopefully that alonne can motivate the team to greater heights this weekend in a game which pre-season would have gone down as a three pointer in most people’s book.
However, the Blades form is impressive defensively although comfort will be taken from their iability to score many goals.
He gave no injury updates apart from yet another on Winston Reid although despite claiming he could be involved in an under 23s match NEXT WEDNESDAY.
So we will need to wait until Saturday after noon to discover whether the squad was hit in any other area following the Everton game.
The manager said at his pre-match presser:The moment against Everton who had four defeats in a row was very similar to the situation we played them last season. They played every ball like it was a final.

“Two games in a row and two defeats. Now we must stop it and try to continue to have a winning mentality. Two or three balls can change the score, and two or three games can change your position in the table.”
And discussing  Saturday’s opposition and their manager Chris Wilder he said: “I think Sheffield United reflect his mentality. It’s clear in the way they play – it’s absolutely English football, strong players who work a lot over 90 minutes. They work to win the first and the second ball.”
“They’re a consistent team. They’ve played already eight games in the Premier League, having come from the Championship. They’ve a difficult style – direct football – which we can prepare for.”

Drat! I got really excited for a second.

“……….They work to win the first and the second ball.”

    What an indictment!
    Prepare for! How about countering!

The result of wasting money on prima donnas, not fit for purpose.

Enough is enough …. what does that mean. Anyone can say that in the cameras and walk away. He also said … if he could have, he would have subbed all 11x players against Everon. And guess which 11 players would play on sat. Would he be brave enough to play Holland instead of a non-productive Anderson? Or did he drill them hard this weak and threaten to deduct from their wages for 2 weeks of lazy performances? So enough is enough then ??????

Has to start introducing the youngsters who are so impressive at U23 level right now.I do not mean half a dozen, but surely Powell,Holland,Johnson and Coventry should spend some time with the first team.Look at what Lampard has done at Chelsea with the young players coming in.Be brave Pelle and put some pressure on your starting 11 cos at the moment they are strolling in to the team with minimum effort and it really shows.
