Jarrod Bowen is set to make an announcement on his future over the coming days, according to a report from TeamTalk.
The news was originally broken by ExWHUEmployee earlier this week, following reports that Bowen was set to remain at the London Stadium in an attempt to help West Ham win promotion back to the Premier League.
That followed an earlier report from TalkSport’s Ian Abrahams, who had spoken directly to the West Ham captain’s father-in-law, Danny Dyer.
In the interview, Dyer described Bowen as loyal, indicated he had made the decision to remain with the Hammers next season and said he believed Bowen would “smash it in the Championship next season.”
I’m Already Convinced
The update came from the grandfather of Bowen’s children. That was good enough for me.
So whether or not any additional confirmation is required is doubtful.
Certainly, I won’t be holding out for a statement because I don’t believe the 29-year-old should have to make one.
Of course, publicly committing his future to the club would give West Ham fans a lift.
But realistically, that’s only because there has been so little transfer activity around Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad as preparations continue for life in the Championship.
Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Bowen has been front and centre of the club’s new kit launches, featured in the behind-closed-doors friendly against Colchester United and, contractually, is in an excellent position for the West Ham hierarchy to retain him.
Factor in Danny Dyer’s welcome comments, together with the consistent messaging we’ve reported on Claret & Hugh throughout the summer that Bowen will be remaining at the football club.
When you put all of those pieces together, I’m certainly very relaxed about the situation.
If a statement comes, all well and good.
But I fully expect Jarrod Bowen to be lining up against Portsmouth in the Carabao Cup on the opening day of the season.

Totally agree with Chris he is already a legend. Brilliant news if he does stay as he would rip it up in the championship. As for needing to keep a clean sheet against Southend Jeeps is miles off with that in my opinion. The game is a practice match only I suspect many players will be used as per normal in pre season. Let’s see what happens over the next few weeks regarding movement of players before making judgments
The way transfers are going he won’t be the only one lining up against Portsmouth.
Need a result against Southend with a clean sheet.
If Bowen stays, he’s a WHU legend in my book. He could likely move to a club playing in the Champions league, earn a fortune, and he’s 29 — an age where a player needs to be playing at the highest level he can.
He’s already a legend ⚒️
