West Ham United remain in the hunt for Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme.
That’s what Claret & Hugh’s top source at the club has told us this evening following reports that David Sullivan had pulled the plug on the transfer for Palmeiras speedster Guilherme.
C&H has been told unequivocally that earlier reports are completely false and that the club remains hopeful of completing the transfer. Speaking exclusively this evening, the top club source said when asked if the deal had been scuppered, “No, not at all. We very much want him [Guilherme] to come and we are very hopeful, but there are a lot of clubs in for him. It’s Tim’s [Steidten’s] pick, and we support his judgment.”
Pretty conclusive stuff, and it clears up any suggestion that the club is meddling in a transfer that has been months in the making.
Quite where the false story originated from is anyone’s guess but it clearly wasn’t from West Ham.
Sullivan strikes again
And so it begins
Tim needs some reward for his efforts for sure.
