Cherries give Hammers a “no” on target

|

Cherries – No to Solanke

Bournemouth have reportedly turned down an approach from West Ham United for striker Dominic Solanke.

With the Premier League season set to kick off this weekend, the Hammers are still looking to make an impression in the transfer market.

The Irons are keen to bolster their forward options after Gianluca Scamacca completed his move to Serie A side Atalanta BC and Antonio seemingly set to leave for Saudi Arabia, thereby leaving us somewhat thin up front   – and no, that was not a pun on Danny Ings new barnet !

Anyway according to the Daily Echo, Bournemouth have knocked back an approach from the Hammers.

The report stated that West Ham made contact with the Cherries last month to enquire about Solanke’s availability.

It is a shame as since joining the Cherries from Liverpool in 2019, Solanke has scored 56 goals and provided 27 assists in 174 competitive appearances.

Possibly yet another example of the Irons obsession with “low ball” bids ?.
