Chinese exodus could open up Hammers options

|

Chinese Super League clubs are in serious overspending problems with new wage rules coming in next season, which will end the hopes of players landing lucrative moves.

According to the Daily Telegraph salaries are set to be capped at £1.8million and transfer fees could be limited to £2.75million per player.

Players such as Marouane Fellaini and Marko Arnautovic are on huge deals in China so it has yet to determined how the rules would affect existing contracts.

The rules are part of cutbacks following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Over the summer Arnautovic claims he wanted to return to West Ham in January, but the pandemic crisis put any stop to that happening.

The 31-year-old completed a £22.5 million move to Shanghai from West Ham in July last year after a long-standing battle with the Premier League side over a move away but early this year admitted he was struggling with the Chinese way of time.

He revealed he was drinking fizzy drinks, not sleeping properly and failing to take training seriously.

    NFI
    Not good when he arrive
    Great spell in the middle
Very average prima donna at the end and clearly had no respect or understanding for the adulating support he received
I am sure his bank balance should soothe his mood

Wouldn’t want to have Arnautovic back. Sounds like he would need lots of rehabilitation to get back to playing at his best. Better to go to a clinic rather than become a burden on the Academy.

who cares. he crapped all over us. don’t touch with a barge pole for rejection and not even training. very bad for dressing room.

Moyes will know whether or not thats a good move but would certainly be a perfect replacement for Antonio and can you imagine both in the same team, that would really frighten other teams.

  • Saul says:

How can any fan want a player to return who was so poisonous?

The guy’s a moron. Very good player, but not a great player, and his attitude sucks.

He could do well at Southend,United?

Cannot believe any IRONS fan would seriously want to see him back here. Divisive, disrespectful and disloyal – a rotten apple. Two ten foot barge poles for him and his money grabbing brother. For me, never is too soon.

Whenever you get divorced from your wife or break up with a girlfriend,it’s always a bad idea to take them back.

If I remember rightly he thrived under moyes but only wanted out under Pellegrini who had himself come back from China.
Come on home Arnie. The missing piece of the jigsaw to make us the most entertaining team in the premier league and a top four finish.
