West Ham are lurching from crisis to crisis both on and off the pitch in a turmoil-filled season. Relegation threatens the club on the pitch and in the boardroom whilst £105 million losses have just been posted by a board at odds with their fan base in a stadium nobody calls home.

Could it get any worse? Well, yes it could.

As if supporters didn’t have enough to deal with, the prospect of the official beer of West Ham United drying up now has to be a serious worry as craft beer producer Brewdog went into administration. Indeed, the official West Ham beer ‘Claret and Brew’ is no longer available, a message on Brewdog’s site simply confirming they are not accepting orders at this time.

According to the bbc.co.uk:

Hundreds of people have been made redundant and dozens of bars have closed after craft beer firm Brewdog went into administration.”

“Regrettably, a total of 38 bars in the UK will close with immediate effect, leading to 484 redundancies,” said the administrators.”

Part of the business appears to have been sold – whether that’ll be enough to safeguard West Ham’s premium beer tie-in remains to be seen.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Brewdog have an awful reputation, probably due to an earlier owner, but once you are tainted some people will never do business with you. I will never buy Brewdog and was not happy with the partnership.

Brady was also responsible for the situation in the Middle East you know? 🙄
