Classy Hammers put Leeds in their place

|

West Ham 2 Leeds 0

Is her a better bet than Benrahma right now?

The Hammers cruised into the fourth round with Mannu Lanzini’s first ever FA Cup goal and a last seconds clincher from the outstanding Jarrod Bowen.

The little Argentinian smashed home a goal which was VAR checked for offside but stood after a brilliant run down the right in and ball in from Antonio.

That was his third goal in two games and he truly starts to look the player we know him to be – quite outstanding

Playing a strong side, Bowen had tried his luck early on with a couple of long range efforts – the second of which was blocked on the line.

Antonio was in great form throughout the 90 minutes and was unlucky when a deflected shot landed on top of the net.

Then in half time injury time Fredericks was unlucky to see another saved on the line before seeing Antonio set up Bowen whose shot was again saved.

It was an entirely convincing performance from the Irons with a solid performance who clinched the game very late on.

Antonio was the architect when hen produced a great run and pass to Bowen who fired under the keeper to give the scoreline a more deserved look.

There were fine performances all over the pitch with Manu, Bowen, Antonio  and Vlasic really catching the eye whilst  defensively, Dawson was at his best and Johnson did well on his weaker left side whilst Rice was ….err just the superb Declan as ever.
