Colombian report still wide of the mark

|

New reports the Hammers are ready to sign Colombian international Gustavo Cuellar remain wide of the mark as they did two weeks ago when the first reports first surfaced.

Back in mid-May Brazilian journalist, Gustavo Henrique suggested the Hammers were close on agreeing on a deal to sign the player for €30m saying personal terms were already in place.

A bemused senior club source rubbished the speculation that we were interested in the player in question.

Commenting on the report that the midfielder was expected to sign a four-year deal with West Ham he made it clear there were no negotiations in process at all and was entirely confused by the report saying: “Really don’t know where this one has come from because there is nothing in it as far as anyone here is concerned here.”

On Monday Gustavo released a new video on youtube insisting Flamengo will accept West Ham’s offer and he will join West Ham after the Copa America.
