Cress reckons it’s all been there to see!

|

Aaron Creswell reckons the Hammers showed “everything there was there to see” in the win at Southampton and is desperate for more of the same at Palace tomorrow (Thurs).

Ok we all know that Cress in particular – along with others in general – can be a master in stating the self evident – but it’s Christmas Day so let’s be generous and allow him that on this occasion.

Mind you, to say that “it was all there to see” is all well and good but along with that were Southampton hitting the woodwork twice and seeing a decent looking goal ruled out.

However, certainly there was a massive improvement and what we also want to see tomorrow is the Irons keeping it going for 90 minutes rather than 60 against a Palace side who aren’t as good at home as away.

It’s about as big as it gets tomorrow and like the rest of the squad Cress is determined to ensure that Christmas ends with the three points so badly needed.

Speaking at https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2019/december/24-december/aaron-cresswell-lets-end-2019-winning-run he said: “We got the win and it was a good performance with the way the lads dug deep and showed the spirit, togetherness, grit and determination.

“Everything was there to see, so it was brilliant to get that three points. We want to put distance between ourselves and the bottom three and start climbing that table.

“If you look at our next three games over the Christmas period, which is the toughest period of the season physically, we can kick on and we want to take as many points as we can from them, which will push us right up there.”

“Ideally, we know we shouldn’t be where we are, but we are where we are. The games come thick and fast now and we want to repeat what we did last season and show that consistency from now until the end of the season.”
