Cresswell fitness update

|

Aaron Cresswell looks set to take his place against Cardiff City in Wales on Saturday afternoon.

Cress has been desperately unlucky with injuries over recent months and left the action after a nasty collision of heads during the game against Newcastle last weekend.

However, he has been carefully monitored during the week and looks likely to take his place on the left side of the back four again.

CandH were told by a well placed insider by e mail: “You can never be 100 per cent certain until match day but there were no deep wounds and it looks more than likely he will be available to travel to Wales.”

Fabian Balbuena played his first competitive game in several weeks for the Hammers under 23s during the week and is also set to be named in the squad.

However, Angelo Ogbonna is being strongly tipped to start following some impressive performances alongside Issa Diop in his absence.

Never change a winning team, start with Oggy, hopefully Cresswell also.
