Fabianski:5 Could have done better for Palace’s third but the defence in front of Fabianski was very poor.
Coufal:5 Fascinating battle with Wilfred Zaha, was often isolated due to Bowen struggling with Mitchell.
Zouma: Lasted less than 20 mins and was replaced with Ogbonna due to injury.
Aguerd:3 Drawn out of position for Palace’s first goal and miss-kicked a clearance for the second. Possibly shouldn’t have passed the ball to Soucek for Palace’s third either. Had a penalty harshly awarded against him. Scored West Ham’s third.
Emerson:4 Struggled with Olise all game as Palace dominated the wings. Withdrawn at halftime.
Rice:5 Completely dominated in the first half as Palace swarmed. One of the many players bypassed by the quicker and more energetic Palace team.

Soucek on the bench
Soucek:8 Finished well to put West Ham 1-0 up. Terrible ball control which gifted Palace their third. Created the third for Antonio with the flick-on from a header and did the same for Aguerd’s goal.
Paqueta:5 Not really involved in the game as he struggled to find positions to receive the ball.
Bowen:7 Enjoyed a decent battle with Mitchell and worked hard. Spent a lot of the game defending but his corners were excellent and provided West Ham‘s only goal threat.
Fornals:3 Deployed wide to help out Emerson thwart the threat of OliseĀ . . . it didn’t work.
Antonio:6 Finished with a smart header for West Ham’s second following a Soucek flick-on. Became frustrated as Anderson began to dominate him physically.
Ogbonna:5 On for the injured Zouma.
Benrahma:5 Substituted for Fornals as part of a double substitution at half time. Immediately took up more attacking positions but wasn’t able to impact the game.
Cresswell:5 Replaced Emerson but ultimately didn’t make any difference because Olise remained the quicker and better player.
Ings: Replaced Paqueta in the 68th min.
Cornet: On in the 89th min.
Not much positive to say about anyone, is there. 5 is much too generous for Benrahma, who did absolutely nothing right and a lot of things wrong: I’d give him a 2 or a 1. Soucek was good near the goalmouth and poor everywhere else, including that awful giveaway. Incredible that we were one very dubious penalty call away from stealing a point.
