Czech mate Soucek delighted with Coufal progress

|
Tomas Soucek knows better than anybody at West Ham how good Vladimir Coufal is and can become for the club.
It’s becoming obvious to fans and squad alike that the right back is proving a fantastic bargain at the £4 million we paid for him.
He had a terrific game against Fulham as he did in his first games against seriously tough opposition in the opening games of his Irons career.
At times he was playing very high against Fulham and although his delivery into the box could be faulted at tomes, by and large he had a terrific game.
Soucek is believed to have played a role in bringing him to the club and couldn’t be happier with the way he has settled in.
In fact the former Slavia Prague he has defied the often mentioned warning that players take a while to become used to the Premier League with his series of fine performances.

And commenting on his contribution Saturday’s winning goal scorer Soucek said: “ I am

very happy with how he’s played these four or five matches, because he’s had some hard opponents.

“Now, again, he can show more offensively. He’s going up and down on the pitch and I believe he will show us more and more…

“I know how professional he is. It is good and he is typical for England. When I heard about him coming to West Ham, I knew immediately that the people would love him.”
