Anderson’s Porto boss makes his position clear

|

Felipe Anderson’s FC Porto misery is continuing despite the intervention of his agent and sister.

Juiliano Gomes made a recent statement claiming she and only she is responsible for the player’s affairs.

It came after he was  becoming criticised for his efforts since arriving at the club on loan for a season from the Irons.

Thus far he has been nothing more than a fringe figure as the club’s League and Champions League season has got underway.

After just two appearances as a sub and being excluded entirely from the Champions League, his future looks bleaker by the day.

And he has also received a pretty direct message from the manager Sergio Conceicad who made it clear he would need far more effort from the 27 year old.

That appeared to lead to the statement issues by his sister Juliano who was at great pains to point out the she and only she was responsible for her brothers affairs.

She said: “Felipe was brought to Portugal by agents who are no longer part of his career. Only I, Juliana Gomes, can speak officially on his behalf. I will have a meeting with the club to inform them of this new panorama and also to try to understand if we can do something for Felipe to do as quickly as possible what he came to do in Portugal, which is to play his football and help Porto.”

Now a clearly fed up Conceicad has responded by saying: “Nobody spoke tome, now what they say to the board I am not going to ask the president what he said to Felipe Anderson’s sister. Why his sister says she needs a meeting I do not know.

“If it’s about adapting Felipe, it’s me to talk to. If the president wants to talk to me about it he can. That’s normal. There are some who adapt faster than others.”

Difficult times ahead for the Brazilian it seems unless something changes quickly.
