Date set for FA cup game

|

West Ham will travel to Old Trafford for their Emirates FA Cup fifth round tie against Manchester United on Tuesday 9th February.

The FA cup clash will kick-off at 7.30pm, broadcast live in the UK on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

David Moyes’ men have seen off Stockport County 1-0 and Doncaster Rovers 4-0 to reach the last 16 stage of the competition, while the Red Devils overcame the challenge of Liverpool in round four, having defeated Watford in the third round.

West Ham and Manchester United have been drawn together on nine previous occasions in the FA Cup, with the Hammers progressing on four of those, including famously at Old Trafford in 2001, when Paolo Di Canio scored the only goal of the game.

West Ham have been winners of the FA Cup three times; in 1964, 1975 and 1980, and have also been runners-up twice; in 1923 and 2006.

Can David Moyes go all the way with West Ham to lift the FA Cup for a fourth time?
