David Moyes has made his new contract feelings clear.

Widespread reports claim that the club are set to offer him a new two and a half year deal but speaking to Claret and Hugh, a key source – out highest – has refused to confirm that will be the case.

Instead he explained talks would start in January adding that this was always going to be the case.

Moyes. however, would appear to believe that his future could easily be at the London Stadium without of course taking anything for granted.

He has spoken to Sky Sports and in his pre-match presser to the Brighton game make it clear how much he enjoys working at West Ham declaring himself really happy in the environment he is working in.

It will be a big surprise, despite the lack of confirmation from the club, shoudl a new deal not be offered to the 60 year old.

He explained on www.whufc.com: “I enjoy working for the people around the Club, all the people here are really supportive and helpful, I’ve got a great team of players we have built over the four years and come from quite a low level to a decent point at the moment and if we can keep it going that would be great.

I’m sure other part, the contract, will get sorted in due course. In due course we’ll find how things go.

West Ham have given me the chance to attain some of my ambitions – to win a trophy, to challenge the top teams if I can. In both of them West Ham have allowed me to do that and I’ve got a big thank you to them for bringing me back on a second occasion.

Hopefully they would see it’s been mutual and it’s worked out for them as well.”
