Nobody can condemn you for lack of Ambition , Jack . You have probably , no surely saved West Ham from oblivion . I congratulate you and your mate for the things you are doing .
But , there has been a rush of bad decisions of late that are causing us pain .
You signed a Poor Manager after ousting a good one because you reacted to a minority crowd and your backbone broke . ( ousted Big Sam when we started to look good and hired Bilic ) Then ousted Bilic due to poor results ,,,, don’t know why you expected good ones .
Now we are expected to support Moyes whilst we are in a definite Relegation Battle .
None of our recent managers are any better than BS . We were actually starting to look good after a call to change our style a bit . BS delivered but fans have short memories for the good things and very long memories for the bad .
    Probably get hammered now ,,, but you know what ,,,, I don’t give a cr@p .

You are welcome to your opinion of course but I can’t disagree more about Sam Kevin, imho he is a limited manager and he reached his limit which is 8 – 12th position every season, he is a master of survival football, it pays well but when it comes to coaching offensive football he is clueless, fans need to be entertained you need to be able to survive yes but you also need to be able to change gears and attack, Sam has only two methods of attack lump a big diagonal to a target man or get a set play and create an advantage from it, other than that his philosophy is negative, respect the point.

As bad as he was Bilic scored over 60 points in the first season which should have been a lot more but for poor officiating, if he had employed better coaches we may not have been in this position but saying that Moyes looks like a massive improvement statistics wise his worst season is comparable to Allardyce’s best so I know who I would prefer in it for the long haul, Allardyce has never had a win percentage over 40 across a season, where as that has been typical for Moyes at all of his clubs and over 50 at Man U which was better than VanGaal who had a massive amount of help from officials unlike Moyes. DS is admitting he is making mistakes and we all do that but in order to do more he has to provide Moyes the money to buy players that will go straight into the first team and lift their team mates.

  • JRS says:

Yes he has made mistakes and his indecisiveness on Bilic was a huge one o believe. He even said in full interview that Spurs result helped sway his decision.
And that Bilic wanted Arnie Chic Hart & Zab I actually believe that he was vocal about all of them esp Arnie & had fallen out w GK. Tho Im sure the board thought Hart would be good for Marketing.
They stumped up a lot of wage money for him Arnie & Chic.
I agree w what he said about need players not journeymen who are 32yo but younger players.
But they have to be the right young players not just bc they’re cheap.
And if we sell Ayew which I think is a mistake 5 & 2 in all comps not a lot of game time when used right creates space & scores but not a lone striker.
And for only £12m & Sakho then listening to offers for AC as well which I’m all for.
But If we sell 2-3 players we will need more then 2-3 players. So instead of selling players for money put the money up we need replacements before we sell anyone sqaud is too thin & Injury prone.
Ayew with Sahko is actually a good pairing.
But our recruitment in January is huge to UA staying up but I honestly believe that if they had been decisive & sacked Bilic in summer we wouldn’t be where we are at know & that is down to them.

    • kevin says:

We should keep Ayew . He has promise and if used correctly could still be very useful .
Moyes has started to organize us better and in time we shall / could be performing better .
Would be a shame to lose Sakho …. he is very capable .
We were going nowhere but downhill with Bilic and a change was needed . We are looking in better shape now albeit our League position says contrary .

All that is lovely. But what is needed is a more professional approach as a club. Hire a DOF. Set some clear operating systems in place for all staff relating to media and roles and then sit back and manage the professional staff that work as a team under the boards direction. You can not do it all yourself, that’s why we are not going forwards.

I have been a supporter for 59years & it is a fact that West Ham has always been a club that buys players who are in their twilight years ( a retirement home for decent players on their way out ) & unfortunately Bilic seems To have continued in that vein , now is the time for the club to lay down some ground rules & emulate Wenger, who only buys players under 25, before they become household names & then sells them for a fortune. Unfortunately West Ham do not seem to have the right scouting ability to spot these potential stars. However we can still lay down some ground rules ie only buy younger players not those who were stars but are now over their best, the PM is all about pace & we desperately need players who have it. So please no more ZAba or Fonte look alikes we must buy younger players as well as giving our under 23’s a chance to prove then selves, or we will not progressi in the current premier league set up. I am glad Sullivan has recognised the board have not performed very well by unquestionly buying poor players, on Slav’s recommendation, & in not sacking Slav sooner & thereby giving the new manager more time to reoganise the players. Let us hope that now the people concerned have recognised their mistakes they can now rectify the situation before we are relegated.

Kevin, you say Sam was ousted when we had started to look good. What team were you watching? We won 3 games out of our last 21 with him in charge. I don’t mind fans having opinions on who should or shouldn’t have stayed, but please don’t gloss over facts just because they don’t back up your personal opinions. Not only were we losing but we were looking s##t in the process. If you can’t see that you truly are deluded.

  • Michael Miller says:

At last David Sullivan has got something right!

He definitely hasn’t done well enough, in fact he’s made a right mess of the Club – it’s time he got a professional Director of Football in, gave him the authority to run the football side of the Club and stepped back from the limelight and went back to making ‘saucy’ films – he knows how to do that!
