Declan Rice tragedy may loom against Leeds

|

Rice …Worst game for a while

There could easily be a tragedy at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon and it will have nothing to do with the result against Leeds United.

No! Once again I find myself talking about Declan Rice in what almost certainly will be  his last ever appearance as a West Ham United player should he be selected.

Manager David Moyes has made it clear on several occasion that still sees Declan as a hugely important player at the club. He adds that nothing has been decided about his summer departure.

With quotes which cannot appear until an embargo passes he adds that Declan may possibly get a rest on Sunday.

Should that turn out to be the case and Declan doesn’t get a chance of waving farewell to the supporters all hell will break loose. Sunday is the last chance of him appearing in claret and blue.

It will be a tragedy and madness if that doesn’t happen!

  • Steven Harvey says:

Sunday is not his last game in claret and blue as i presume he’ll play in the final.

    • It is his last game at the London Stadium as reported

      • Lloyd says:

To be fair Steven was correct. You didn’t say his “last game in claret and blue at the London Stadium”. But I sort of knew what you meant.

        • In fairness, what does London Stadium mean in intro, and the references in the second and third to his last ever appearance and Moyes claiming he may give him a rest in the third. Did I need to remind people the last match was away! Just asking. Thanks Lloyd

One team will likely have to wear a change strip in the Prague Final. So maybe Declan won’t be wearing the the claret and blue there either!

  • Austrick says:

He should play to get the points and can be rested for the Leicester game. Be interesting to see who WH go after when he is sold as he is irreplaceable. The sale should bring in enough for at least 2 decent players.
