Declan Rice was gutted

|

Declan Rice took to social media after Sunday’s game to tell fans “Absolutely gutted we didn’t get anything from today’s game! We stick together and go again Wednesday! Another big week coming up. We keep pushing”

Rice had the ball under his arm, ready to go when the penalty was awarded just before the end as he was the designated penalty taker on the pitch for this match.

David Moyes subbed on Mark Noble, who hadn’t missed from the spot since December 2016 but Noble had his penalty saved.

After the final whistle Rice was visibly upset as he sat on the match ball  in the middle of his pitch, he pulled his shirt over his head to stop cameras zooming in on his anguish.

Skipper Mark Noble walked over to Rice to comfort him and pull him up from the floor.

It was clear what the loss meant to the 22-year-old Hammer and his commitment to the team should not be questioned.

The so called England manager. made the same major error! you can Never expect a player who has not even had chance to warm up, to take a penalty, Moyes made the same error!

The reason he was gutted was Moyes slap in the face . He was ready willing and able to take the pen but yet another lunatic decision by Moyes resulted in Noble who hadn’t kicked a ball all day or indeed since May coming on and taking a feeble kick against a keeper who had not saved a penalty for over 40 attempts ( I believe ) . Why Noble is even on the bench is a mystery . He has nothing to offer on the pitch . Add this decision to the failure to replace Haller , not push for Linegard ,leave a completely shot Antonio on the pitch and subsequently getting sent off shows what a terrible manager Moyes is . Any one of us could pick the best 11 players we have but when it comes to plan B or anything needing tactical awareness it is sad that Moyes has not got the ability to do it . Perhaps he wasn,t watching the Euoros ????? surely the penalty shoot out should have shown any manager of average ability that this crazy move was doomed to failure .

Wow… someone got out the wrong side of the bed this morning… What a ridiculous over-reaction. “Yet another lunatic decision by Moyes”…?? Get a grip.

I pray that Declan will not see the snub of not taking the pen, as a seed to think , well if I am to get out of Marks shadow, then now is that time. I pray I am wrong.
