Director of football story is untrue

|

The Sun newspaper has today claimed that Manuel Pellegrini has lost a boardroom battle to install his friend Mario Husillos to head up recruitment for the Hammers. However, Claret and Hugh understands this report is fundamentally untrue and Husillos will soon join West Ham as was always planned.

The tabloid falsely claimed ‘reports have already swirled around claiming the Chilean boss is not happy with his lot in East London, a month after his arrival from China, and now he’s been dealt a fresh blow’

The false report comes six days after the Daily Mirror reported that Manuel Pellegrini was already at odds with Hammers chiefs just two weeks into his reign. They made similar false claims that Pellegrini had already raised concerns about having many of his requests knocked back in his bid to strengthen his squad.

Just 24 hours later the Daily Mirror ran another story that everything was alright saying “I speak to Mr Sullivan regularly and we are in agreement about our approach to bringing new players to the club this summer,”

The sun also run a story saying the Argentinian FA would be paying Lanzini wages while he recovers from injury.

I will believe it when west ham announce officially on there web site that they have appointed a director of recruitment?? If they don’t? It just causes the press speculation of this kind ????

  • Clive says:

Ok thanks Sean. I saw a story on here about West Ham suffering a serious financial blow with the Lanzini injury. I didn’t see the bit in the end about FIFA paying his wages. So presumably fifa would pay 35k a week on a loan replacement to cover Lanzini for the season.

Well done The Sun! So Mr P hates his job at West Ham before he has even started. It always took me at least a week to decide I hated my new job more than my last one lol

And Razor. Come on mate. Who would ever be desperate enough to allow that rotting heap of garbage into contact with their jacksie??
