I don’t know enough about Lopetugui but he coached the national team of Spain and to me that is a step up from Moyes.
As for opening up the wallet, Moyes spent £450 million on players he flogged because he didn’t like a big squad. I am sure Lopetugui will get money to spend which hopefully translates to a better team/squad.

A change is as good as a rest and by god do we need a change, who knows perhaps a popular choice would turn out to be a disaster whereas an unpopular one might come true, you don’t know till you try it? It seems we did not initially get Amorim because of the Boards delay regarding a decision on Moyes and we would have had to make a release payment. Looking or waiting for the cheap option. Tight or what?
