West Ham United’s so-called insider has confirmed that Emmanuel Emenike is the major Irons target this January and that there is no interest whatsoever in Galatasaray’s Burak Yilmaz.
That will come as absolutely no surprise to regular readers of ClaretandHugh who have been indicating it was the case for most of the week.
However, fair play to Boleyn Insider who in a new piece of information declares: “My sources have indicated to me that the Nigerian international could be arriving in England in the next 24 hours and the Hammers are hopeful that a deal can be finalised.”
And in disussing Yilmaz he adds: “The Club have also been linked with a move for Galatasaray forward Burak Yilmaz, but I have been told there is no interest in the experienced Turkish striker.
“It is my understanding that the Club are not prepared to take a risk on a player of his age who has never played outside of Turkey.”
If Yilmaz himself said he expects to sign for WHU in a 2 – 3 days as was reported and has handed in a transfer request to try to force a move through then the whole story from the ITK sounds fishy (not for the first time). Either another club is in for Yilmaz or we couldn’t agree a fee with Gala or possibly we have mucked the player around.
