Emmanuel Adebayor loan unlikely

|

emRumours have resurfaced this morning that the Spurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor held talks with West Ham manager Slaven Bilic on Monday night over a proposed loan move to West Ham, according to so called Sky sources.

However, Premier League rules only allow two domestic loans and Carl Jenkinson has already taken one of those spaces.

Although Alex Song and Lanzini are also loan deals they do not count as they are International loans.

As we reported last night West Ham’s hopes of signing Victor Moses have increased dramatically with ClaretandHugh being told the loan move from Chelsea is well and truly back on.

If Moses signs on loan to take the second place as expected today, the Adebayor loan can not happen and the Hammers would need to dig deep for a permanent deal for the 31 year old striker.

I doubt any one wanted him here anyway.Just another spud inspired scheme to stitch us up.

I’m confused about this loan business? We’re only allowed 2 loans.. Jenks and Lanzini
So how are we loaning song and Moses as well?

  • IronsEssex says:

Or is it because Song and Lanzini are from abroad clubs?

  • Happyhammerau says:

No thanks- over rated money leach no future resale value- just look how long the spuds have been trying to offload him- would rather not sign anyone that take him

  • WestGoaHam says:

Presume so, it said two domestic loans allowed.

    It’s 2 domestic and 2 foreign loans.

Adebayor can still happen. He’s in last year of his contract…so Spurs could pay up say 50% of the value, and then we sign him for free on a one year deal at 50% of current wages which works out essentially the same as a year’s loan.

  • Michael Miller says:

Jack Sullivan (??) has tweeted that Victor Moses has signed on loan – which would scupper a loan deal for Adebayor!!

  • Michael Miller says:

Adebayor on a Free?? It’s being talked about!

Would seem a strange one now that Jelavic has gone through, especially as we tend to play with one up front.

Would only make sense if we can readily easily afford the wages and don’t need other areas, given just how often Carroll has proven to be a bust.

Would see Jelavic who’s a permanent signing down to 4th in the pecking order though.

He is having his contract cancelled which will make him a free agent, then we will see how much living in London really counts,
We will go for £50k a week others like Villa will offer £75k as they want him,
I think money will talk and London will come second,
But as I was wrong about our owners being tight wads maybe he will fill Carltons boots now Jalivic has Magia,s place
