West Ham have today made it crystal clear to ClaretandHugh that Declan Rice will not be allowed to leave the club this summer.

We revealed a few days ago that David Moyes had asked the club to offer the team captain £200k a week to remain at the club.

However we understand that it has been made clear to Moyes and the board that the player would reject such an offer.

As we have made clear on several occasions he is not being motivated by money but by the desire to win things.

Success in the Europa League and entry into the Champions League next season could change that of course.

However the club have no intention of allowing him to leave next season and will continue negotiating

Declan will have two years left on his contract next summer and should he still choose to leave will command a fee of around £150 million or even more.
