Fab gets the call

|

Bang in form Łukasz Fabiański followed up a man of the match for us last night by learning he had been called up for Poland’s upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Fab has been in outstanding form all season and looks all set to the 55 senior caps he has earned from his nation when they take on Hungary, Andorra and England in their opening Group I fixtures.

Thirty-five year old Lukasz of course has signed a new contract with the Club and will face competition for inclusion for the keeper’s slot from Juventus stopper Wojciech Szczęsny and Bologna keeper Łukasz Skorupski .

Meanwhile, Hammers youngster Frederik Alves has been named in Denmark’s U21 squad for the group stage of the 2021 UEFA U21 Championships.

This year’s finals are being played in two parts, with the group phase taking place this month and the knockout rounds following in the summer.
