Weight falls off Iron’s shoulders

|

Major decisions  often take a long time to make but they are done it’s a huge weight off our minds generally speaking.

Such is the case with Mark Noble who has been involved for weeks in deciding when is the best time to call time on his Hammers career.

Having done so, he can now look forward to what’s left in a season which could involve European competition.

Whatever we may feel about his first team place in a team with two of the best midfielders we have had in years is one thing in place is one thing.

But his devotion to this club and the influence he will clearly have over it in the years to come is quite another and there can’t be anyone who would  do anything other than thank him from the bottom of their hearts for all he has done.

And speaking to www.whufc.com about the build-up to the decision in making next season his last he said: “The last week’s been pretty emotional. Talking to my family and the club and everyone has helped me out.

“When you know it’s that close…. to be honest, it’s a weight off my shoulders now. I’ve made my decision and I’m really looking forward to next year.

“This season’s actually been really enjoyable. The boys have been playing really well. We’re challenging for a top-four place, which is fantastic.

“We need to keep pushing. I’ve been here for 18 years now, and to be involved in a European push is fantastic. Hopefully we’ll get those points and for my last season I can play in Europe.

“For us we know the last three or four games have been tough, and then the next four or five are tough as well. We need to just nick a couple of wins and keep pushing for that European spot.”
