Lukasz Fabianski will have a scan on his hip tomorrow to understand the extent of the injury he suffered this afternoon at Bournemouth.
Manuel Pellegrini told reporters in his south coast post-match conference “Lukasz felt a problem in his hip muscle, problem in his hip. We’ll see tomorrow with the medical examination what it is”
A club insider has told Claret and Hugh by telephone that early indications suggest that Fanianksi will miss the visit of Crystal Palace at the London Stadium next Saturday 5th October but he would almost definitely return after the International break for the game against Everton on Saturday 19th October.
However, until a complete medical assessment has taken place it will difficult to give an accurate diagnosis of Super Fab’s condition and any potential time out in recovery.
The club have suggested that any estimate of injury length is pure guesswork at this stage and the medical team will know more tomorrow.
Fabianski on crutches would be a better option than the current alternatives
West Ham’s injury curse is alive and kicking . Time for Roberto to prove himself . He had a nervous start when he came off the bench but did make a very good save . That must have been nerve racking for him especially after the Oxford result . We all want good news concerning Fabianski but we must also give Roberto a decent chance and get behind him .
We will be 4th in the table after today’s games , so let’s be very very happy and enjoy it .
Palace is a very winnable game even with our substitute keeper .
