Fan frustration grows over Sakho/Carroll bulletins

|

Andy Carroll’s injuries go on forever …Diafra Sakho – despite regular bulletins that he “is getting up to speed” -remains very much on the sidelines.

The orignal diagnosis on Carroll when he was injured during the Euro qualfying campaign was that he’d be back by last weekend but the medical staff say he still has bridges to cross.

ClaretandHugh asked today “just what the hell is going on” and here th site’s FB forum members have their say.

CarrollsakhoO I’m wondering if one of those ‘bridges’ Carroll has still to cross happens to be Tower Bridge? If so we might be in for a longer wait because that particular bridge wont re-open until December.
O That they’re both being mothballed for January moves?
O Are these some of the bridges.

O How long as AC got left on his contract?…..I’m sick of saying “once AC is fit & firing things will turn”…..season after season,We’ve not had a potent and fit selection of forwards to select from for years!!
O He’s not called Christmas Carroll for nothing.
O Think, being realistic, that we will have to discount both of them until they leave.
Even Ronaldo had lost weight quicker than Sakho is supposed to be doing!
And I think AC’s bridges are more about repairing trust with the manager, bearing in mind how he seems to not be looking after himself!
O It sounds like to me they are both gone January making way for zaza permanent move
O Not going to get a lot for them now if they were to be put on transfer list.
O Carroll hard in training, yeah right, nights out on the lash sounds about right, but don’t worry he will come back score the odd goal and fans will start defending him, sorry but the guy is just taking liberty’s with our club!!
O Andy Carroll just wasn’t built right for a footballer. If he was a racehorse they would have sent him to the glue factory by now.
OInjuries may have many a scientific solution to repair but there is no exact science on timescales. There are many factors, one of which is attitude… Cresswell clearly has the right attitude!O I’ve always said Carroll isn’t someone you should ever put any faith in

O Idon’t  think the club are not telling the truth about these two players that we need asap
Sahko is not a favourite of Slaven’s. As for Carroll he used to be a favourite of mine but his ‘rehab’ seems to be centred round the Slug and Lettuce at Canary Wharf.  If anybody comes on for him in January we should get what we can.
O Noticeable how quick Slav was to big up Zaza’s performance on Saturday. A cynic would think that maybe Slav has no immediate striker alternatives. 😉

Almost certain Sakho doesn’t want to play for Billic again!! Carroll well that’s a waste of time no? Misses around 20 games a year , then takes 3 games to get match fit. His career is over because its too regular. Now west ham have to get him fit and get as many good games as possible with him to offload him for a decent price. Newcastle would take him back for sue:)

There have been very few Hammers players over the years that i have just thought ‘Who Cares’ but i am there now with Carroll.I really couldn’t care less if he walked in to the sunset tomorrow.
And yeah its fine fans saying ‘well he always gives 100% on the pitch’ but so he bloody well should, thats the least he should do when fit.Its not exactly something to hold him in high regard for.He owes us that at the very least anyway without it being made into a major praise worthy act from him.

What a lovely parting gift from the corrupt slug the China doll has been, but then again he’s with Curtis the agent isn’t it he so no doubt the slug will be getting a bit of wor Andy’s wages while hiding in his Marbella villa:)

I wonder how much we’ve paid AC per minute on the pitch.
If and when he returns, he’ll have a pint to prove (oops).

Keep the faith lads.In August next year Goldfinger will be telling us all Bambi On Ice is over his worst injuries & will be on fire in the 2017/18 season lol 🙂

Rads! Goldfinger is protecting his investment although it is hardly producing dividends.I suspect keeping Bambi contracted is cheaper than a pay out..With Valencia “bonding” with Everton fans so well, he might be back to join Carroll in rehab.I have always believed our younger players deserve a chance rather than wasting money on players who don’t have a burning desire to play for us or don’t cut the mustard.

I recall Slavs weekly bit in the ES prior to the Crystal Palace game in which he said those players not yet training with the first team were unlikely to feature over the next four games. Thought it strange at the time as he named both AC and Sakho and Zaza had doing little at that point. Can’t remember the rationale he gave but all seems very strange to me. If they resume training then why would you exclude them a month in advance?

  • stubbo says:

Seems straightforward to me. Carroll is as he always is…a player with a bad attitude to recovery,.

My suspicion with Sakho is it’s all smoke and mirrors. The goal will be for him to be fit enough to flog to someone desperate in January, so we’ll probably see a couple sub appearances in December to show the world “he’s fit and ready for your first team!”. Fit and firing earlier doesn’t work for us….if plays well he goes to Afcon with Senegal and we miss the January window…meaning we get neither money or pitch time.

He’s burnt his bridges with Bilic and there’s no way back. Can’t be said though as he has potential resale value.

I think Carroll should be sent to the top specialists to establish what is actully wrong with him. A decision should then be made on terminating his contract and calling on insurance.
It can’t be right that he plays for a couple of games then is out for the next 10 and on top money.
The amount of non-impact injuries the players have needs to be investigated. Are they fit enough? Is it the training pitches he stadium pitch? Are the physios/sports scientists useless?

  • WestGoaHam says:

We don’t need them. If they’re good enough they will get selected. Simple really. Bad deals. Finished.
