Fans piling pressure on Moyes

|

West Ham have spent just £2 million on Craig Dawson this year with only goalkeeper Alphone Aurelio arriving on loan since the window open. Despiite David Moyes having around £45 million to spend, he has so failed to bring in any targets claiming the fans are not frustrated as a result. That doesn’t quite figure with  what Claretandhugh followers believe and here’s a random selection of quotes from their Facebook Group.

  • We need a striker badly unless we plan on using Bowen as a backup striker An injury to Antonio would see Yarmolenko (who is injury prone himself) in the lineup. Maybe Moyes sees Oko-Flex as providing backup on the wing. I’m all for using youth, but it seems to me you don’t want to rely on a young player, you want to be in control of when you introduce them. A striker and a centre back seem the absolute minimum.
  • It’s all well and good Moyes saying we have a top squad buy any group needs new faces to keep things moving. We just can’t stand still. Sign a striker gaffer. We have one and he is injury prone and lined up for numerous Jamaican international. Move your harris!
  • Moyes just don’t accept Sully any old rubbish! Sign the players Moyes want it’s that simple!
  • Thought Adam Armstrong was a striker Moysie liked. If we want a proven top quality striker we are going to have to pay minimum £40k unless you take a gamble. But after Newcastle a CB is as important.
  • No point condemning anyone until September 1st, then if you are unhappy have your say. So far I’m pleased we didn’t sign Abrahams for £35 M and the wages he wanted. Also £20 M + for Ings not value.
  • With the amount of games coming up the new striker will get lots of opportunities
  • If he’s managed to turn a right-winger/rwb into a number 9 as he has with Antonio, surely he can turn someone like Origi into a striker. I trust Moyes, but I gotta say I’m starting to get a bit jittery..
  • It’s getting twitchy
