West Ham United’s next preseason friendly takes place tonight as the Irons travel to Stevenage. After a 1 – 1 draw last time out against Southend United, the Hammers take on tougher League one Opponents tonight as the build up to next season continues.

Nuno’s chosen starting eleven will be closely scrutinised  – after a reported ‘clear the air meeting‘ with James Ward Prowse, another appearance by the former Southampton captain would be evidence that he and Nuno appear to have made up in preparation for the forthcoming season in which West Ham have something of a creativity crisis in midfield.

James Ward Prowse

Ward Prowse – after a clear the air meeting with Nuno is it likely he will be re-integrated into the matchday squad?

And the club have just confirmed that the game will be live-streamed for supporters at a cost of £5.00

And season ticket holders, all 50,000 plus, will get to watch the game free as another ‘thank you’ from the West Ham board renewing their seats ahead of the Championship season which kicks off on 18th August – just three weeks away.

The game can be seen on the whufc.com web site or by clicking this link.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Seems a little annoying to say fans are being rewarded.
Season ticket holders are being rewarded.
Fans, who live in other parts of the world, or even the UK, who would live to watch every game but can’t due to geographical and financial constraints are no less fans than those well enough positioned to purchase season tickets.
As it is, I pay a subscription here in Australia to watch EPL games on STAN (happy for a heads up on any service that in Australia that will be showing Championship games).
£5 isn’t bank breaking, so no whinging here over that price, but it’d be nicer to say, “season ticket holders are being rewarded”, and, “fans without a season ticket can watch the game for…”.
Once a Hammer, always a Hammer, right?
