Edson Alvarez and Emerson are claimed ready to play according to Sky Sports who say both have now recovered from illness

Alvarez was forced out of the West Ham squad for Sunday’s 5-0 loss at Fulham after being struck down by the flu, while Emerson although travelling with the squad despite illness, was forced onto the pitch in the second half.

Now, according to reporter Gary Cotterill, both will be sufficiently recovered to play a part in the game against the Bundesliga outfit in the crucial final Group A game.

Alvarez was desperately missed in the anchor role against Fulham where Tomas Soucek and James Ward-Prowse were forced to combine into the role which may have had a fair bit to do with the result. Kurt Zouma was also subbed in the second half for Mavropanos and it remains the be seen whether the skipper will make the squad.

A London Stadium source made it clear to Claret and Hugh  we will need our best team possible on the pitch from the start with the same rule applying for the Premier League clash with Wolves at the weekend.
