Five reasons why the Irons will beat Man City

|

Tactical genius Mike Manera talks you through all the reasons why the impossible can happen.

West Ham travel to Manchester to play City on Wednesday night, and not many people (actually, no one!) are giving us a chance of getting a result. But I don’t think it’s all over, and here are five crucial reasons why…

O  It’s a funny old game. And our current West Ham team are one of the wittiest in the league. If they can quietly tell the City team some quality jokes while the game is in progress, then we may be able to nick a goal or two while the City team are distracted in fits of giggles.

O  The weather. Yes, even up here in Manchester, the sun is shining and it’s warm. In February. This clearly shows a glitch in the reality continuum, making a win for the mighty Hammers very likely.

O   Cats. I stroked a Ginger Tom this morning. Whenever I have stroked the afore mentioned coloured feline between the hours of 8am to mid-day the Hammers have gone on to win their next game.

O The child effect. My son is not going to the game. It’s a school night fixture and he is only six. My boy has been to a number of games (most recently Burnley away) and is yet to see us win, draw, or even score a goal. Without him there a win is wide open for the claret and blue.

O  If Palace can get a result there, anyone can. Enough said.
