Glimmer of light for Irons

|

At times such as these, you need all the help you can get and at least we have seen a tiny glimmer of light over the last few days.

The Hammers have players on the way back in the shape of Anderson and Yarmolenko whom we are assured will be available for the Southampton game.

That gives David Moyes a near full squad with which to save up to the relegation battle in which we find ourselves but beyond that other things have gone in our favour.

The latest batch of results during what is supposedly a winter break have all gone our way with Sheffield United beating injury-ravaged Bournemouth and yesterday both Saints being beaten at home by Burnley and Norwich finally succumbing to a goal from Sadio Mane.

This afternoon Villa are at home to Spurs and fingers crossed – hard though it is to say it in normal circumstances – the north Londoners do the business for us.

It’s a really nasty reality we find ourselves in and not completely expected . We have gone from European qualifying hopefuls to hoping results go our way in a relegation dog fight .
From Pelligrini’s awful team selection’s and substitutions albeit we are an injury prone outfit to Moyes trying to pick up the pieces with the same basic injury problems but with the added handicap of more than just a few lazy players .
We must pick ourselves up and fight for every ball . Not sure this lot are up for it and that’s the worrying thing . It’s up to us but it does seem to be in the laps of the Gods to some degree .
And it’s high time people forget about UP . We were no great shakes there either .

So very true about UP going into the loos with paddling in pee such joy but then again the ‘modern’ plastic supporters did not know this or experience the filth of the place at times in reality the place glowed under the floodlights the gaff was very intimidating, as for the superstars who pretend to play for the badge they are financial mercenaries with a bit of luck a few bums will be kicked over the next few weeks ⚒
