It truly has been Grady Diangana’s day today as the fall out from his brilliant performance on Saturday against  against Burnley.

Robert Snoddgrass was the first one out discussing the young winger and praising his ability and attitude since arriving in the team.

Then the highly experience Pablo Zabaleta was keen to give his view on a young man whose sensational arrival in the team can right out of left field.

Next it was former ref Mark Clattenburg’s turn to claim that Saturday’s man in the middle Roger East got the no penalty shout wrong when the lad was brought down in the area.

And finally it appears that the England under 20s management are looking hard in his direction and could include him in the squad which meets Germany’s youngsters next week.

The country of his birth DR Congo are also keen to see him in their colours giving him perhaps the same problem as Declan Rice who is pondering his international choices at the moment.

On such a day it’s appropriate that Grady should have the final word and he told www.whufc.com:  “It was one of the best feelings I’ve felt in a long time, getting the three points and seeing how much it meant to the players and to the fans,”

“I was thinking ‘Why us!’ when they got it back to 2-2, but it was good to see the desire in the team to keep going and keep believing that we could get the victory.

“This team never gives up, especially with the crowd behind us throughout the whole game. When you can feel the energy from the crowd, it gives you that extra energy.”
