Clyde Tyldesley – the ITV commentator -has apparently been impressed by Sead Haksabanovic’s form on loan at IFK Norrköping this year.
The 20 year old, who cost the Irons around £3 million, was involved in the 7-0 hammering of Montenegro last night and came off in the 68th minute with an eye injury having done himself no harm with his performance.
“West Ham fans may well see something of Haksabanovic in the future,” said Tyldesley while commentating on on Thursday night.
Earlier he had commented on his performance at Wembley that he had caught the eye.
In fact the midfielder looked lively and bright, taking set pieces from either side of the pitch and almost setting up a goal with a great free kick which saw a thumping header well saved by Jordan Pickford.
Yes they lost 7-0 but the 2 players who stood out for Montenegro were Haksabanovic and Vukevic.Pellegrini surely has to bring back some of the loan players just to put pressure on the complacent starters who know they are getting picked whatever simply because of the lack of alternatives.
