Hammers appoint head of fittness

|

NickDavid Moyes has appointed a former West Ham employee as the new Head of fitness.  Nick Davies previously worked with West Ham under Alan Curbishley as Head of Sports Science between 2007 and 2009.

He did the same job for Charlton Athletic for four years before joining the Hammers. He then moved to Birmingham City for three years between 2010 and 2013  later moving to Norwich City for four years until his contract ended this summer for the Canaries.

Former West Ham manager Alan Curbishley told Talksport today “David took my old fitness coach, Nick Davies, in there and I understand the fitness levels, the stats, were pretty poor. I know lots of managers talk about that when they go into a club and say let’s improve the fitness levels, but I think it was something West Ham needed to do. The proof is on the pitch.”
