Hammers are dream destroyers…again

|

conte2West Ham yesterday killed off Chelsea’s Title challenge once and for all just as they did Tottenham’s last season.

The stunning 1-0 win over the Blues gave the Irons team, management and faithful real hope that a bg recovery is on the way.

But it also supplied a massive kiss of death for the south west London outfit who had arrived at the staium as overwhelming favourites to win.

Afterwards, however, an entirely despondent Stamford Bridge boss Antonio Conte left east London making it clear that there was nowhere to go for his team in the title race.

He said: “This is the fourth defeat this season in 16 games.

“When you have this stat, it’s impossible to think you’re in the title race.

“It’s impossible, my experience tells this. You can lose once or twice [at this stage of the season].

“To lose the first game against Burnley, against Crystal Palace, to lose again agaisnt West Ham… you can’t lose points in these games.

“It means you are not in title race.
