Hammers are favourites for European league

West Ham are  now the bookies favourites to win the Europa League.

The Hammers have been installed as the 10/1 leaders to win the UEFA competition and this qualify for Champions League.

Leverkusen, Leicester City and Napoli are now joint second favourites at 12/1

Lyon are third favourites at 16/1 with Frankfurt, Lazio, Real Sociedad and Real Betis next all at 20/1.

West Ham have got off to a great start with three wins out of three to top group H on nine points.

Wins against Dinimo Zagreb, Rapid Vienna and Genk have given supporters belief that the Hammers can go far in the Europa League contest.

Winning the group would mean that West Ham would bypass the Champions League drop off round and go straight to the knick out round of sixteen. From there there are just four teams from winning the Europa League with a massive financial prize awaiting for the winner.

    Favourites ? That’s absurd imo. We don’t even know the identity of the clubs that will drop out of the Champions League yet so anyone takinbg a punt now is betting on the unknown.
