Hammers big turnaround at London Stadium

|

West Ham United’s U23’s were 1-0 winners over Leicester City at the London Stadium on Sunday in the Premier League 2.

That result takes them out of the bottom two relegation zone for the Division 1 of the PL2 with Spurs replacing them second from bottom.

The development squad who were bolstered in midfield by Jack Wilshere and the youngsters grabbed all three points thanks to Dan Kemp’s late penalty after the winger was himself fouled inside the box. The U23s now have two league matches remaining as they look to secure their top-flight status in the U23 Premier League.

Spurs who have a game in hand play third from bottom Blackburn Rovers tonight with all three teams on 22 points and fighting for survival.

The Hammers face Derby County away next Monday followed by the final game of the season against league leaders Everton on 29th April.
