West Ham have revealed this morning (Sat) that Leeds right back defender Sam Byram is on their list of possible right back targets for the summer.
However, they have added that he shares that position with NINE other right backs the club are monitoring and organising into a priority list.
Byram has long been linked with a possible move to the club – notably by Twitter ITK ExWHUemployee and it was even suggested a January move may be on.
But the player is out of contract in the summer and as we reported here yesterday a summer move is a more likely possibility – assuming the Irons follow through.
ClaretandHugh was told exclusively by our top source: “Right back is obviously the key position we are looking at and Byram is interesting but we have NINE other targets as a possible permanent signing there.
“We will not be taking Carl Jenkinson for a third time and we will be spending the January window trying to sort out that and other deals.”
Get real, if your scouts have recommended him, then sack the scouts too. A very average defender, another Jenks, sorry for being so negative but I have to be honest.
We need a class player to come straight into right back or use Tomks and give Oxford ago,
But agree with John no more journey men,
Cressie was great signing and we need another,
How’s the lad doing that we took off the Gooners,
