Hammers Crucial Clash Against Palace

|

West Ham United head south London this afternoon to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, needing a positive result to keep their European hopes alive.

While the midweek Europa League result with Bayer Leverkusen was a bitter pill to swallow, David Moyes’ men must quickly turn their attention back to the Premier League. A top-seven finish and a return to European competition remains a possibility, but they can’t afford any slip-ups.

Crystal Palace won’t be an easy test. Their stunning victory over Liverpool last week showcased their ability to cause upsets, and their impressive home form (eight unbeaten) should not be underestimated.

The Hammers will be sweating on the fitness of key players like Nayef Aguerd (ankle) and Jarrod Bowen (back). However, the return of Lucas Paqueta and Emerson Palmieri from suspension provides a much-needed boost.

West Ham will need to rediscover their attacking prowess to overcome a resolute Palace defense. Michail Antonio and the returning Paqueta will be tasked with spearheading the attack.

With a brutal run-in that includes games against Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City, securing points against Palace is paramount. The Hammers will be looking to bounce back from their European disappointment and show their fighting spirit in this crucial encounter.

They’ve got one of the worst home records in the Prem?

Lost their last home game against City, not to mention Chelsea’s late show against them.

The new guy has them playing well but we should be going there looking for at least a draw.
