Hammers done huge favour

|

Everton have done the Hammers a huge favour by beating Manchester United on Saturday!

Frank Lampard’s side remain dead in trouble at the bottom end of the table but recorded a huge victory over Ralf Rangnick’s woeful side at Goodison Park.

A goal from Anthony Gordon proved decisive as Everton won 1-0, with his strike from the edge of the box deflected into the back of the net by Harry Maguire.

The result means United remain stuck in seventh in the Premier League table.

Ahead of Sunday’s game against Brentford, the Red Devils seem to be falling away from the European chase, with their next three games coming against relegation-threatened Norwich, and big rivals Liverpool and Arsenal away from home.

More and more it seems as though United will not actually be providing that much competition for the European spots as the Irons look to again go touring the continent next season.
