Hammers explain why ST holders have been moved

|

West Ham – under reconfiguration of the West Stand – have moved current season ticket holders to new positions.

A large number – meaning there are many more – have complained on the CandH forums that it’s all about money and they are not wrong!

Those affected claim they have been moved to inferior positions as a result and in some cases away from friends they have made.

One wrote on the ClaretandHugh FB forum: ” Does anybody else feel like they have been lied to with the reconfiguration of the West Stand.

No way am I nearer the pitch in fact my seat has moved backwards and view is not as good. Can’t understand why I have to move as my current seat is still there.

Suppose this is just another money making exercise to get more corporate seating in. Not a happy hammer 😡

There have been numerous comments in the same vein and as a result we approached the club for a response.

In fairness to the club there was no attempt to gild the lily and we were told: I’m afraid it is what it is, there is nothing we can do. We are trying to get more, better seats. It will look better.

Our big problem is that the lower tier was vastly under priced from day one , whilst seats at the back on the  top tier are priced almost the same and very few want them!

However, it should perhaps be remembered that our season ticket prices are a fraction of Spurs and Arsenal etc and that’s why we can’t compete with them financially!
