Hammers eyeing Brazilian

|

West Ham are eyeing a potential move for Brazilian defender Luizao, according to the West Ham Way.

The Hammers have been reported as holding an interest in the centre-back for some time, in Brazil.

Ex WHU Employee reports for the outlet and he claims the club are aiming to do a deal for the 20-year-old.

It would require West Ham to pay compensation to Sao Paulo, as his contract is coming up in the next few weeks.

A work permit could, potentially, be a stumbling block to a move for Luizao, as he’s only played 20 times for the senior team.

Moreover, he hasn’t yet won a cap for Brazil at any level, so it may be difficult for the Hammers to convince any appeal board that he is good enough to move to the London Stadium.

Rob Newman and his team of scouts are said to be scouring Brazil for talent, hence the potential move for the defender.
