West Ham are once again in Austria, this time to face Hertha Berlin at the Sonnenseestadion tomorrow evening.
The first were allowed a day’s rest after West Ham’s 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday but flew out late Monday to Austria for a second summer training camp. The four day training camp will be based at Thermenstadion Bad Waltersdorf and are thought to be staying close by at the adults only Spa Resort Styria hotel.
They will return on Friday as they face Athletic Bilbao on Saturday at the London Stadium in the Betway Cup.
Mark Noble (dead leg) Ryan Fredericks (groin) and Angelo Ogbonna (sore back) are all believed to have made the trip to Austria despite being excluded with small injuries last weekend.
Winston Reid who was rested is also expected to make the trip as medical staff take a cautious approach after such a long period of recovery after a knee operation.
Hertha Berlin’s pre-season friendly against West Ham kicks off at 5 pm. West Ham will be live-streaming the match.

So despite all the nice transfer news and still needing a few more we have injuries to deal with before the season even kicks off ,,, good grief . Will our injury list ever be empty ?
Anyway , let’s hope they can get up and running shortly . Expect some sudden transfer news before the window closes .

The interesting game will be Athletic Bilbao . They are my favorite Spanish Club . Always honest and just like West Ham have very loyal Fans who support Thier team through thick and thin . It will be the most telling pre-season game of the summer preparations and comes at the most crucial time before we meet Man City .

Athletic Bilbao only recruit players from their own province. Those days have long gone from the English game but it is great to know that it still gets maintained by a first class European side
Yeah it’s a Basque thing Peter
