Hammers get ready for three wins on trot Geordies

|

Just as we thought life may get easier – starting at St James’ Park on Saturday – Newcastle leapt above us on goal difference in the League last night.

An own goal from Burnley’s Ben Mee and a winner from Ciaran Clark ensured the Geordies’ third win on the trot at Burnley following home victories over Watford and Bournemouth.

And with the Irons arriving on the back of that 0-4 defeat by Manchester City it’s vital that the message sent out by the manager and Lukasz Fabianski that we treat every team very seriously indeed has never been better demonstrated.

Andy Carroll will be raring to go against his former team and despite receiving a slight knock in the match against City, Marko Arnautovic is expected to be available.

It will be interesting to see – having left the captain out for Saturday’s game – whether the manager turns again to Mark Noble. Jack Wilshere is also expected to return to the squad although like Carroll is set to be on the bench.

It’s time to stop on a roll Newcastle!
